Install pro tip -- adding a 3.5mm aux input jack

Postby InsaneAudioSupport » Mon Sep 01, 2014 7:17 pm

We thought we'd share a quick tip for adding a 3.5mm aux input jack to the front of your TJ dash.

Most folks with a TJ will note that there is a strange little flat part on the dash directly to the right of the switch panel that is the absolute perfect spot to wire up a 3.5mm aux input jack.

Just drill a hole, then get a panel mount 3.5mm female to male RCA adapter and you're good to go. Here is a good source -- http://www.datapro.net/products/panel-m ... rcax2.html

Even better idea is to put a combination 3.5mm audio jack *and* a USB jack in the same location. $14 at amazon:

Excellent! That's really cool. Thanks for sharing! Do you have an installed pic of that in your TJ?
