How to Free Your Music from iTunes
Let’s face it. iTunes is not the greatest music application out there. While it does a nice job of letting users purchase digital music and transfer them to an iPod or iPhone, iTunes doesn’t play nicely with non-Apple products. Many of our customers have extensive music libraries built up over years...

Re: Sorting music on SD Card
The stock Insane Audio music player app doesn't support playlists or viewing by album/artist etc. However, the cool thing about having an Android-powered head unit is that you have the whole Play store to download apps from. There are hundreds of different music player apps out there, and the majori...

Re: JK1001 Brightness dimmer doesnt go low enough
Hey Dan, the first step is to double-check that the brightness is set to its lowest setting. Try swiping down to the quick-access tray and setting the brightness to low. If that's still too bright for you, there are a couple other considerations. First, the screen brightness may depend on what app y...

Re: Turning off beeping sound during button press?
To turn off the key tone, go to the system settings (either swipe twice from the top of the screen and hit the gear icon, or go to the Settings app), scroll down and go to Sound & Notification, tap Key Tone (at the top of the page), and select "off". If "off" is not visible, you may have to scroll u...

Re: Limited memory
Hey there Casper711! At this time, the JK1001 allots ~1GB for application storage. Moving the apps "To SD Card" seems to simply place them in a different partition on the same drive. This seems to free up a little room in the Applications drive, but only a little and a lot of apps require to be "mou...

Re: OEM aux plug
Rats. Perhaps one day there will be an upgraded wiring harness that will allow it to function without having to mess with the stock wiring? I'm actually looking to connect my external XM radio without having to use the lackluster fm transmitter that is built into it. I'll just have to run an RCA-3....

Re: Get navi to work
I ended up just buying new maps and it works but if I'm playing the radio I get no voice commands. If radio is off I get voice commands. I don't have 3D vehicles only the arrow. If I go into settings it doesn't give me any options other than arrow. I purchased the 3D and the setting are for 3D but ...

Re: Apple lightening cable
Hey there! At this time we do not offer a Lightning cable option for the JK1001. We have the 30-pin style connector so that you can use your JK1001 with a wide variety of models of iPod/Phone, including older models. There are a few options for adapters that may make it a little easier. I use an Ott...
