Insane Audio releases IACAM2!

Post by InsaneAudioSupport » Tue Apr 05, 2016 1:42 pm

Hey, all. We thought we'd share some news about a cool new accessory that we've just released -- IACAM2! Insane Audio's IACAM2 is a universal, ruggedized, waterproof camera that can be used as either a front facing rock cam or as a backup camera.

The thing that makes IACAM2 unique is that it is specifically designed to be flush mounted and is perfect for applications such as installation in a front or back bumper. This product works with Insane Audio’s TJ1001, Insane Audio’s JK1001, Insane Audio’s FJ1001 or any other head unit that accepts a universal camera. The package comes with camera, RCA video cable, power cable and a specialized drill bit for easy installation.

Insane Audio's IACAM2 will retail for 59.99 and will be coming to your local offroad specialty store soon!!!

Does this one have the same single button control to turn lines off or do mirror image off and on? Not seeing it for sale yet so any idea when they might be available?

It does NOT have the same controls as IACAM1. IACAM1 is fully programmable while IACAM2 is not. IACAM2 was designed more to be a high quality camera with a very small footprint. It's super tiny and is designed to be flush mounted in a bumper.

For reverse camera applications, however, you can sill mirror images or add guidelines through the JK1001's user interface. It's under settings -> driving settings. IACAM1 does offer a little more granularity, however, so if you want super precise guidelines then IACAM1 is probably your best option because you can not only add guidelines but you can also adjust them based on your application.

We've got 'em in stock now so as soon as our distributors get 'em loaded up in their system they'll be available to the public. They'll probably be available early next week!
