JK2001 Upgrade eligibility?

Not to preempt your announce but I noticed a new JK2001 posted on 4WP: http://www.4wheelparts.com/Interior-Par ... ApyD8P8HAQ

Will there be an upgrade path for current 1001 owners?

Hi, all. Firstly, please know that Insane Audio's JK1001 is still a pretty awesome product, will still be fully supported, we will continue to build them (some folks might still want that CD/DVD player) and we will still provide lifetime technical support!

That being said, however, we will be making an announcement in the next week or so about a special upgrade program for existing customers who want to get their hands on the latest and greatest. Details coming soon!! :)

Sorry, Dundlenut. SiriusXM is not part of our product roadmap for reasons outlined in this thread -- http://www.insanejeepaudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=4219&p=6276

Insane Audio is an innovative technology company and we'll continue to build cool stuff, but we are not going to jack up the price of our products for all of our customers just to include outdated and inferior technology. Remember, as stated many times, plenty of our customers who use SiriusXM prefer using an external receiver anyway. For less then $30 you can add on an external SiriusXM receiver and plug it into the aux input. That doesn't use your data plan, can be kept in the glovebox and you can use the same unit (i.e. same subscription) in different vehicles or even bring it inside your house.

n.b. Insane Audio's JK2001 has been announced and the details can be found here -- http://www.insanejeepaudio.com/JK2001_e ... _flyer.pdf
